The Dow DJIA, 0.35% was most recently trading 240 points, or 0.7%, lower, as shares of Boeing BA, 0.67% and Chevron CVX, 0.05% have contributed to the index’s intraday decline. Boeing’s shares have fallen $8.98 (3.6%) while those of Chevron are down $3.31 (3.1%), combining for an approximately 81-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include American Express AXP, -0.37%, Visa V, 0.26%, and Travelers TRV, 0.32%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark results in a 6.58-point swing.
