China Eastern Airlines Corp. reported a wider net loss in the third quarter on low travel demand due to Covid-19 and higher jet fuel prices.
The Shanghai-based airline said its July-September loss swelled to 2.95 billion ($460.5 million) from a loss of CNY563 million a year earlier.
Revenue rose 3.6% from a year earlier to CNY17.79 billion.
For the first nine months of the year, the company posted a net loss of CNY8.16 billion, while revenue rose 24% on year to CNY52.50 billion.
