Shares of Nike and Caterpillar are trading lower Tuesday afternoon, propelling the Dow Jones Industrial Average selloff. The Dow DJIA, -1.01% was most recently trading 416 points, or 1.3%, lower, as shares of Nike NKE, -4.47% and Caterpillar CAT, -2.26% are contributing to the index’s intraday decline. Nike’s shares have declined $4.77, or 4.5%, while those of Caterpillar are off $5.14 (2.8%), combining for an approximately 65-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Travelers TRV, -2.03%, Home Depot HD, -2.23%, and JPMorgan Chase JPM, -1.97%. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
