Shares in Adams PLC fell on Friday after the company reported a swing to a pretax loss for the first half of fiscal 2022 due to investment-return losses.
The London-listed investment company posted a pretax loss for the six months ended Sept. 30 of 648,000 pounds ($863,266) compared with a profit of GBP1.1 million for the same period a year earlier.
Adams had investment-return losses of GBP567,000 compared with investment-return gains of GBP1.2 million for the year-ago period.
Shares at 0907 GMT were down 1.00 pence, or 11%, at 8.00 pence.
