Shares of SVB Financial Group on Wednesday fell after the company said it intends to launch an offering of $1.25 billion of its common stock.
Shares dropped 3.7% to $258.00 in after-hours trading.
The commercial bank said it also aims to offer $500 million of depositary shares.
The lender intends to use net proceeds from the offerings for general corporate purposes, it added.
