Behind losses for shares of Intel and Walgreens Boots, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is down Wednesday afternoon. Shares of Intel INTC and Walgreens Boots WBA have contributed to the index’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA was most recently trading 187 points lower (-0.5%). Intel’s shares are off $1.25 (3.6%) while those of Walgreens Boots have declined $0.41, or 1.4%, combining for an approximately 11-point drag on the Dow. Caterpillar CAT, Procter & Gamble PG, and McDonald’s MCD are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow equates to a 6.59-point swing.
