The Irish retail giant is recalling the pizza because it contains undeclared egg
Dunnes Stores has been forced to recall one of its popular pizzas after it emerged a specific batch of them included an undeclared ingredient that poses a potential health risk to some people.
The Irish retail giant is recalling Dunnes Stores Simply Better Italian Calabrian Salami & Sausage Pizza (510g) because it contains egg which is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg.
“Our supplier has informed us that only the batch L.A.23236 with a ‘Best Before End’ date of 05/24 is affected, no other batch with the ‘Best Before End’ date 05/24 is affected,” said Dunnes Stores.
Dunnes Stores added: “Do not eat the affected products, instead return it to a Dunnes Stores store where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required.
“Dunnes Stores is committed to ensuring that the products we supply are of the finest quality at all times. The Food Safety Authorities have been informed.”
