Shares of Consol Energy declined after the company’s profit fell in the third quarter and other results missed analyst projections.
The stock was down 8.3% at $93.68 in recent trading. Shares have gained 44% so far this year.
The coal miner posted a profit of $100.7 million, down from $152.1 million in the same quarter a year ago.
Per-share earnings were $3.11, missing projections for $4.80 from two analysts surveyed by FactSet.
Revenue ticked up to $569.9 million from $561.6 million last year, falling short of analyst projections for $587.3 million, according to FactSet.
