Lightspeed Commerce Inc. on Thursday reported a widened loss in its second quarter of fiscal 2022, while revenue soared.
For the three months ended Sept. 30, the Montreal-based point-of-sale and e-commerce software provider said earnings per share were 43 cents, compared with a per-share loss of 20 cents a year earlier.
Net loss was $59.1 million, compared with a loss of $19.5 million, it said.
Adjusted net loss was of $11.1 million, which excludes certain items such as acquisition-related costs and stock-based compensation. Adjusted net loss was $4.6 million a year earlier, the company said.
Sales rose to $133.2 million from $45.5 million. Subscription revenue more than doubled to $59.4 million, and transaction-based revenue more than quadrupled to $65 million, the company said.
