Renault SA on Thursday posted a decline in first-quarter revenue, missing analysts’ expectations.
The French auto maker said revenue for the period came in at 10.02 billion euros ($12.06 billion), compared with EUR10.13 billion for the same quarter a year earlier. Analysts polled by FactSet had expected quarterly revenue of EUR10.04 billion.
Renault sold 665,038 vehicles in the first three months of 2021, 1.1% more than in the same quarter in 2020.
“This start of the year has confirmed the positive impact of the group’s profitability-oriented commercial policy, with a price effect of over 6 points,” said the car maker.
