Shares of Home Depot HD, -3.58% and Walmart WMT, -2.15% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -0.76% was most recently trading 214 points lower (-0.5%). Home Depot’s shares are off $13.66 (3.9%) while those of Walmart have dropped $1.90 (2.8%), combining for a roughly 102-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Boeing BA, -2.23%, Dow DOW, -2.67%, and Caterpillar CAT, -0.79%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow equates to a 6.57-point swing.
