Behind declines for shares of Walt Disney and American Express, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is down Wednesday afternoon. The Dow DJIA, -0.11% was most recently trading 61 points, or 0.2%, lower, as shares of Walt Disney DIS, -2.47% and American Express AXP, -1.57% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline. Walt Disney’s shares have fallen $2.50, or 2.5%, while those of American Express are off $2.80 (1.7%), combining for an approximately 35-point drag on the Dow. Walgreens Boots WBA, -1.71%, IBM IBM, -1.44%, and Home Depot HD, -1.13% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index results in a 6.59-point swing.
