Unisys Corp. shares fell 17% to $4.07 as the information technology company is one of several that will be removed from the S&P SmallCap 600 index on March 20.
Unisys, which was removed from the S&P 500 in 2008, had a market capitalization of $331 million as of Friday, compared to at least $2 billion for the companies that S&P Dow Jones Indices is adding to the SmallCap 600. Various index changes were announced Friday to coincide with the quarterly rebalancing.
Unisys said in February that fourth-quarter revenue rose 3.3% to $557 million.
