Dragged down by losses for shares of Intel and Verizon, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is falling Thursday morning. The Dow DJIA, -0.11% was most recently trading 95 points lower (-0.3%), as shares of Intel INTC, -5.52% and Verizon VZ, -2.93% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline. Intel’s shares are off $1.55, or 5.3%, while those of Verizon have fallen $0.83, or 2.3%, combining for an approximately 16-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are Chevron CVX, -1.72%, Walgreens Boots WBA, -2.66%, and Amgen AMGN, -1.74%. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
