The Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Monday morning with shares of McDonald’s and Boeing seeing the biggest losses for the index. Shares of McDonald’s MCD, 0.82% and Boeing BA, -4.19% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -0.32% was most recently trading 53 points lower (-0.1%). McDonald’s’s shares have dropped $5.92, or 2.4%, while those of Boeing have declined $3.65 (1.9%), combining for a roughly 63-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Procter & Gamble PG, 1.18%, Johnson & Johnson JNJ, 1.24%, and Travelers TRV, 0.93%. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
